“D.W.I. (Dwarf Wizard Intoxicated)”
It was the dreaded Second Class Year.
It was “The Dark Ages” between Christmas and Spring Break.
As noted in Oct-Nov 82, I was struggling academically. I had overloaded my Fall semester and ended up on academic probation (why there was no Dec 82 episode).
This was also about the time I realized that USNA maybe wasn’t what I should have done with my life.
I was idealistic, and kinda depressed. And it really shows in this story.
Artistically, I took the heavy black backgrounds from the previous episodes in a new, unpleasant direction.
This one isn’t fun. I don’t even like it much. The only saving grace is some of the art, and Poseidon III starting to pull himself together.
